If a device in your OnGrid system stops working due to a hardware failure, we ship you a replacement already configured and ready to plug in. No troubleshooting needed on your end.
OnGrid Care is billed annually. You will be charged once per year on your renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account before the next renewal.
Reprogramming means we reconfigure your entire smart home: re-linking devices, renaming rooms, and restoring automations. This is useful if you move or change your WiFi. OnGrid Care+ includes one free reprogramming per year.
OnGrid Care covers hardware failures: devices that stop working as expected. It does not cover physical damage from accidents, drops, or water damage, or damage from electrical surges beyond normal use.
Yes. You can add a protection plan at any time from your OnGrid account.
OnGrid Care covers 1 device replacement per year with standard remote support. OnGrid Care+ covers 2 replacements, includes 1 free system reprogramming per year, 10% off future additions, and priority troubleshooting response.

OnGrid Care Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms before purchasing an OnGrid Care plan. By adding a plan to your order, you agree to the conditions outlined below.

OnGrid Care and OnGrid Care+ are optional annual protection plans designed to provide ongoing support, replacement coverage, and service assistance for eligible smart home devices purchased through OnGrid. By purchasing or enrolling in an OnGrid Care plan, you agree to the following terms:

1. Coverage Overview

OnGrid Care provides device replacement coverage, remote support, and service-related benefits as outlined at the time of purchase. Coverage begins upon activation and remains valid for one (1) year from the purchase date unless otherwise specified.

2. Replacement Limits

  • OnGrid Care includes up to one (1) device replacement per year
  • OnGrid Care+ includes up to two (2) device replacements per year

Replacements apply only to eligible devices originally included in your OnGrid system. Lost, stolen, or intentionally damaged devices may not be eligible.

3. Remote Support and Troubleshooting

All plans include access to remote troubleshooting and support services. Resolution times may vary based on issue complexity and availability.

4. System Reprogramming (Care+ Only)

OnGrid Care+ includes one (1) system reprogramming per year. This applies when relocating or changing WiFi networks. Additional reprogramming services may incur a fee.

5. Discounts on Additions

Plan holders receive discounts on future home additions: Care: 5%, Care+: 10%. Discounts apply only to eligible products and cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated.

6. Billing and Renewal

OnGrid Care is billed annually. By purchasing, you acknowledge that this is a recurring yearly service unless canceled prior to renewal.

7. Eligibility and Limitations

Coverage applies only to systems configured and supported by OnGrid. Devices added outside of OnGrid may not be eligible.

8. Misuse and Abuse

OnGrid reserves the right to deny service or replacement if abuse, misuse, or fraudulent claims are detected.

9. Cancellation

Plans may be canceled in accordance with OnGrid's cancellation policy. Partial-year refunds are not guaranteed.

10. Modifications

OnGrid reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
